This Day in Giants History: November 30, 1961

The Giants acquire pitchers Don Larsen and Billy Pierce from the Chicago White Sox for pitchers Eddie Fisher, Dom Zanni and Verle Tiefenthaler and first baseman Bob Farley. The swap is a steal for the Giants‚ one of their best trades since moving to California, and will contribute immediately to their 1962 National League pennant.
