Giant Dusty Rhodes ties a record with six extra-base hits — two doubles‚ two triples‚ and two home runs — in a doubleheader‚ as the Giants split with the Cardinals, winning 5-4 in 11 innings‚ and losing, 7-4. Rhodes hits his triples in two at-bats in the opener. The split leaves the Giants just 1 1/2 games ahead of Brooklyn.
